It's from Japan, but seeing as it's Nobuhiro Watsuki and he likes American Comics, it's probable. Difference is that Capt. Falcon has only Falcon Kick and Falcon Punch while Warrior Chief/Captain Bravo has 13 signature moves, like Bravo Chop.
